My Day:
It’s a busy day for me. I have been volunteering at the pre-school teaching Marxist-Leninist theory to the children. Ah, the joy of young minds. After cookies and milk I am thinking about reading Billy Budd to them.

My Health:
I am still suffering the painful effects due to the ill-conceived attempt to assassinate me, perpetrated by a splinter cell of the GOP. However I find being in a wheel chair a great deal of fun. It’s almost as much fun as when I found that white and red cane and walked into traffic all day.

Today’s News:
Goshen, Indiana: The Moose Lodge in Goshen is under investigation for alleged illegal gambling activity, according to the Elkhart County prosecutor. On Oct. 15,16 17, and 18th, two undercover police officers visited the lodge and allegedly verified complaints that “Texas Hold ’Em” tournaments were being held in violation of the permits that are currently held by the lodge. In addition, a game called “The Queen of Hearts” was also illegally being played, according to investigators. The pot for the game had allegedly reached over $13.00. On a side note, this hard hitting police work will be featured in an up-coming episode of COPS.

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- A man was charged with trespassing after he stripped naked, scaled a airport fence, ran across the tarmac and climbed into a plane's wheel well before firefighters talked him out, officials said. The man had earlier tried to buy a ticket for a Qantas Airways flight to Australia with only a credit card receipt. He told authorities at Los Angeles International Airport that he stripped off his clothes Monday to protest the airline's decision to deny him the ticket, airport spokeswoman Nancy Castles said.
Hell of a way to prove your point, I know we are all taking the election hard, but damn man.

PARIS (AP) -- A gravely ill Yasser Arafat was in a coma Thursday, and doctors at the hospital treating the Palestinian leader denied reports he had died. Luxembourg's prime minister told reporters at a summit in Brussels, Belgium, that Arafat had died, but he later retracted that, saying through spokesman Lucien Michels that it was "a misunderstanding." An official at the hospital where Arafat was rushed Friday said he was still alive, and is believed to be suffering from a spider bite to his left ankle.
