I just love the NAIA

Defense made the difference for the University of Saint Francis in a 58-0 win over Georgetown College (KY) in an NAIA Championship Series semifinal game at Bishop John M. DArcy Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Blessed with near perfect college football weather before and a sellout crowd, No. 2 USF and No. 3 GC slugged it out in a blood match of who's balls are biggest, for the right to play in the NAIA Championship Series title game on Saturday, December 18, in Savannah, Tennessee.

USF will play two-time defending champ Carroll (5-2) in Savannah, Tennessee, on December 18 at 1:05 p.m. Eastern time. Carroll rallied to eliminate Azuza Pacific 14-10 in Helena, Montana in the other semifinal game.

The University of Saint Francis Cougar Football team will be playing for the NAIA National Championship against the Carroll College Fighting Saints.

Follow your team to Savannah, Tennessee (while a good time was had by all last year, we will not be getting "lost" again and ending up in Savannah, GA) on the USF Fan Bus (use of which was provided by John Q. Public MD, who will also be driving the bus, this trip is one you dont want to miss!) for $70 per person, (for an extra 100.00 USF will provide bail money as needed, to any un-lucky fans) the bus will leave from in front of Nutzell Athletic Center at 10 pm Friday, December 17, take in the game and travel back to Fort Wayne by 5 am Sunday, December 26.

Game tickets will be available from the university athletic office for $57.00 per person or at the gate on game day for $15 per person. Rev. Bob will be leading the sing-along with Fr. Phil. Food on the trip is extra; we will be stopping for breakfast at several Tuck Stops and a few bars the driver knows (all close to the interstate), on the way to the game and dinner at John Q. Public's Aunts house in a real "coal minning community" on the way home (breakfast is 32.00 per person) . However bathroom breaks will be very limited, go before you board!

This will be the first National Football game in the history of the university, and although we hope not the last it will be the most historic. This will be your chance to be part of it.
